Company description

Corporación América is an Argentine investment group active in the airport; airport business, cargo, and fuelling terminal; agribusiness; energy; retail; and infrastructure sectors. As an airport concessionaire, CASA controls Montevideo Carrasco International Airport through the consortium Puerta del Sol and owns the majority of Aeropuertos Argentinas 2000 (AA2000), which operates 33 airport terminals in Argentina, and terminals in Ecuador, Peru, Armenia and Italy. CASA also acquired the concession rights for Punta del Este Airport until 2019.

Its other subsidiaries include biofuel company Unitec Bio, which has a 20% share in the local biofuel market, and construction firm Helport. CASA is currently developing the Trasandino Central rail tunnel project linking Chile and Argentina, which the company estimates should increase trade to some 50Mt/y by 2040 from the current 5Mt/y. CASA is is headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
