The journey began in Tunis, where the event was held for two consecutive years under the endorsement of the AFDB, then Nairobi, Abuja, Johannesburg and last year Abidjan.

Held under a central theme "Promoting Infrastructure Development through Public Private Partnerships" this three day infrastructure focused event will provide a Pan - African perspective on current policies and future prospects for PPPs. This match making platform will enable project sponsors and financiers to discover and discuss sector specific

pipeline projects, assess available finance and innovative infrastructure funds and instruments that are shaping infrastructure investments in Africa. The event will present global best practices and offer a public and private sector outlook on the contribution of PPPs in mobilising private participation and finance to meet Africa's huge infrastructure deficit, with a specific focus on energy, agriculture, transport, public building and social infrastructure PPP concessions.

The agenda will address the key factors affecting the supply side of PPPs and establish what is required from both the public and private sector to develop more frequent and bankable PPP projects across Africa.
