All bids accepted for Athens urban transport ticket system

The Board of Directors of Athens Urban Transport Organisation (OASA SA) approved the technical offers of all candidates, who had submitted binding offers for the Athens Urban Transport Ticket PPP project in Greece.

The project involves the implementation of an integrated automatic fare collection system for all means of transport managed by OASA SA.

The three candidates that submitted binding offers are the following:

  1. Intrasoft International - Intrakat
  2. Atese - Metka
  3. Terna Energy - LG CNS

Three other companies had been preselected to participate but did not submit offers:

The private partner will undertake the funding (50% private funds, 50% National Strategic Reference Framework resources), design, installation, operations support, maintenance and technical management of the system for 12 years and will be repaid during operation, through a payment mechanism based on the evaluation the quality of services offered.
