AXA Investment Managers - Real Assets has announced the appointment of Bertrand Loubières as Head of Infrastructure Finance with immediate effect.

Bertrand Loubières will lead AXA IM - Real Assets' infrastructure finance team which has already invested more than €2.5 billion over the past two years. AXA IM - Real Assets will continue to underwrite large infrastructure loans and bonds backed by assets located in established global economies, with a primary focus on core European countries.

Bertrand Loubières will head a team of five infrastructure specialists, building upon the well-established AXA IM - Real Assets private debt platform which comprises 25 specialists, including structurers, lawyers and middle-officers. It has established itself as a European leader, managing over €20 billion of commitments for CRE and Infrastructure debt.

Bertrand Loubières has over 15 years' experience in infrastructure and project finance. He joins from BNP Paribas where he was Head of Specialised Product Group, having been with the bank since 2006. Bertrand led a team which managed the origination, structuring, and placement of all project and structured bond opportunities in the infrastructure and energy sectors in EMEA and APAC. Prior to BNP Paribas, Bertrand worked in the securitisation team at Morgan Stanley and before that held a series of roles focused on infrastructure and structured finance.

Bertrand is based in London and reports to Isabelle Scemama, Head of Funds Group at AXA IM - Real Assets and CEO of AXA REIM SGP.
