DIF Infrastructure III in first Canadian deal On 6 August 2013, DIF Infrastructure III has acquired from Acciona SA a 40% shareholding in the availability based P3 Royal Jubilee Hospital project located in Victoria, British Columbia.

The project has an operational track record of almost 3 years and a remaining concession life of 27 years.

The Royal Jubilee Hospital Patient Care Centre is a P3 partnership between private firms, the Vancouver Island Health Authority and the Province of British Columbia.

This 500-bed facility is replacing aging hospital infrastructure and will rise at the corner of Bay and Richmond Streets. At 32.5 meters in height, the patient tower will be the tallest building at the Royal Jubilee Hospital campus.

The Project consists of a nine-storey, 42,000 m2 patient care center and services the city of Victoria and the Southern part of Vancouver Island.

The financing is secured through a long term loan with a club of commercial banks.
