France signs port concession

The consortium formed by VINCI Construction France and Dif Infra 3 PPP has signed the contract to design, build, finance operate and maintain (DBFOM) La Cotinière port project under PPP scheme. The project is located in the region of Saint-Pierre d'Oléron, France.

In 2013 the general council of Charente-Maritime department in western France launched the tender for the PPP project at La Cotinière port, which involves the construction of a new fishing harbour with full tidal access outside the existing tidally-restricted inner harbour. It is also comtemplated the development of two inner basins to create a leisure marina.

The total investment designed for the project stands at €62 million(US$66 million).

The term of the concession contract will be 291 months (certain 25 years) from the date of the concession contract signing.

In August 2016, we reported that other two projects were signed in France. Le Touquet-Paris-Plage Government signed with the consortium formed by Natixis, SPIE Batignolles and Cofely the public-private partnership (PPP) contract for the renovation of the Congress Centre and the construction of a conference room in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage. The Communauté de Communes de l'Etampois Sud-Essonne (CAESE) signed also a contract for road construction PPP project in Etampes.
