HNTB hires U.S. P3 expert

U.S. Engineering firm, HNTB Corporation, has announced the hiring of a P3 expert, Jonathan Startin. Startin joined the firm on July 15, 2013, as vice president and national program delivery consultant and will office in New York City.

In his new role he will enable departments of transportation and other public clients across the country to select, procure and deliver infrastructure using public-private partnerships to ensure long-term value and budget certainty. He will continue to play a key supporting role on the Goethals Bridge Replacement, working as part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's support team.
Startin gained his professional civil engineering qualifications in the U.K., and has acted as a technical advisor on the innovative delivery of major projects in the United States, Asia and the U.K. For the past 8 years of his 33-year career, Startin has delivered advice to public sector clients across the United States, including the Texas Department of Transportation on technical and procurement engineering matters for the Interstate 35 and I-69 strategic corridors, as well as major projects, including the State Highway 130 Segments 5 & 6 and the I-635 Express LanesAdditionally, he worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation on P3 guidance manuals and projects such as Route 460 and for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's Goethals Bridge Replacement.
