Ireland seeks advisors for Social Housing PPP Bundle 2

The Government of Ireland has announces that it is seeking advisors for the Social Housing PPP Bundle 2.

The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) has launched a tender process for the provision of planning advisory services in respect of the Social Housing PPP Programme.

The 2nd phase of the Government’s current PPP programme, announced by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Brendan Howlin T.D in Budget 2015, envisages a programme to invest €300 million (US$334 million) in social housing and is expected to comprise:

  • Development of up to 1,500 housing units as a number of ‘bundles’ of sites.
  • Provision of services to the developments over a 25 year period following construction that will include the maintenance and upkeep of the housing.
  • Return of the asset after 25 years in prime condition.

The Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government are the sanctioning authority for the Programme with National Development Finance Agency (NDFA)​ acting as financial advisor, procuring authority and project manager.

456-476 ot the 1,500 housing units will be located in the following 8 sites:

  • The Walk, Roscommon Town, Co. Roscommon (53 housing units)
  • The Miles, Clonakilty, Co. Cork (50 housing units)
  • Slievekeale, Waterford City (50 housing units)
  • Ballyburke, Galway City (73 housing units)
  • Shannon East, Co. Clare (50-60 housing units)
  • Poundhill, Skibbereen, Co. Cork (50 housing units)
  • Oakwood, Macroom, Co. Cork (50-60 housing units)
  • Butterstream, Clane, Co. Kildare (80 housing units)

The deadline for submitting proposals is September 16th.
