Kazakhstan appoints Chairman of PPP Support Centre

Adil Utembayev has been appointed as Chairman of the  Kazakhstan Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center.

In 2001-2006 Adil Utembayev worked for the tax authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At that time, he was involved in deals related to the taxation of subsoil users and international taxation. After that he worked in the private sector holding various senior positions.

In 2001, Adil Utembayev graduated from Almaty-based K. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University as an Engineer-Economist in Oil&Gas. Later, in 2012, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, USA.

The Kazakhstan PPP Center activities are focused on research, examination and evaluation of the implementation of investment projects in the field of PPP. They provide full consulting support to the projects and assist on their implementation. Significant part of their work is formation of the scientific basis and development of human resources in the PPP field.

The founders of the Public-Private Partnership Support Center are JSC Baiterek National Holding (75%) and JSC Kazakhstan Public-Private Partnership Centre (25%).
