KKR acquires UK water business from Alinda Capital Partners

KKR has announced that it has acquired South Staffordshire Plc, a central England water supplier, from Alinda Capital Partners LLC, the Greenwich, Connecticut-based infrastructure fund manager said today.

The terms and conditions of the deal weren't disclosed. The deal with the investment firm KKR was agreed to on May 3.

The group's South Staffordshire Water and Cambridge Water divisions supply water to 1.6 million residents in the West Midlands and East Anglia.

Alinda Capital Partners is the one of the world's largest independently-owned infrastructure investment firm. We are wholly owned by our eight Partners and have over $7.8 billion in equity commitments to infrastructure investments.

KKR is an American multinational private equity firm, specializing in leveraged buyouts, headquartered in New York.
