NHAI releases RFP for four road projects Last week, NHAI released the list of qualified bidders for four road projects:
- Four Laning of Vijayawada-Machilipatnam Section of NH-9 from Km 0.000 to Km 63.800 (Approx. Length- 64.611 Km) in the State of Andhra Pradesh

- Rehabilitation and Upgradation of Birmitrapur to Barkote Section of NH-23 in the State of Orissa (km 211.200 to km 336.815)

Four laning of Punjab/Haryana border - Jind section of NH - 71 from Km. 239.00 TO Km. 307.0

- Rehabilitation and Upgradation to four Laning of Angul - Sambalpur Section of NH-42 (Km. 112.00- Km. 265) in the state of Orissa

The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure approved last week the following projects:
A)
Name of the project: Four laning of 150 kms. long Chhattisgarh/Orissa Border - Aurang section on NH-6 in Chhattisgarh under NHDP Phase IV-A on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in BOT (Toll) mode of delivery
Total project cost :  Rs. 1548 ($345,19 million) crore under DBFOT pattern
Concession period: 28 years
Construction period: 30 months.
Location:  Districts of Raipur and Mahasamund in Chhattisgarh
B)
Name of the project: Four laning of 54 kms. long Walayar - Vadakkancherry section on National Highway-47 in Kerala under NHDP Phase II on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in BOT (Toll) mode of delivery
Total project cost :  Rs. 785.26 ($175,11 million) crore under DBFOT pattern
Concession period: 20 years
Construction period: 30 months.
Location:  Palakkad District of Kerala
