Port of Veracruz seeks interest for four terminal projects

The Integral Port Authority of Veracruz (APIVER), has launched a Request for Information (RFI) for the development of four new terminals at the Port of Veracruz in Mexico under PPP model.

APIVER is seeking qualified private developers to design, build, finance, operate and maintain (DBFOM) the new port terminals, which are namely:

  • A fluids terminal: This project will comprise a fluid-specialized terminal to manage fluids, bulk liquid and oil products, as well as the transfer to the logistics area.
  • A multupurpose terminal: This project envisages a multipurpose use public terminal to carry out activities related with containerized cargo, agricultural bulk solids and minerals.
  • An ore terminal: This project involves a semi-specialized terminal in handling bulk mineral products. 
  • A bulk terminal: This projects implies the development of a public terminal for handling agricultural and liquid or semiliquid products. 

According to sources, APIVER is planning to implement six terminal PPP projects valued at MXN 80 billion (US$4.3 billion) to be developed between 2016 and 2027.
