PTB releases EOIs for two PPP projects in Kuwait.

The State of Kuwait, through the Partnerships Technical Bureau in collaboration with the Ministry of Health  is planning the development of a new physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) venture in response to increasing demand for physical rehabilitation services in Kuwait.
The PTB has appointed a team of advisers led by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to act as Transaction Adviser for the Project.
The purpose of this Request for Expression of Interest is to invite competent local and international companies to participate in the potential tendering of the Project and request them to indicate their interest in the Project by submitting an Expression of Interest to the PTB.
The purpose of the Project is to design, build, finance and maintain a 500 bed Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital located in Al Andalus area, Kuwait. It is intended that the new hospital will comprise of 500 beds. The project will have a term of no less than 25 years. It is the country's first hospital on a PPP basis.
The current schedule is the following:
  • RFQ: Q3 2011
  • RFP: Q4 2011
  • Selection of preferred bidder: Q1 2012
  • Project financial close: Q2 2012

  • RFQ:  Q3 2011
  • RFP: Q4 2011
  • Project financial close: Q1 2012
  • Selection of preferred bidder: Q2 2012
