Seaborn Networks adds Partners Group's Global Co-Head of Infrastructure to Board of Directors

Seaborn Networks Group, Inc., the developer and operator of the first express subsea fiber optic cable system between New York and Sao Paulo, announced yesterday that Brandon Prater has been elected to its board of directors.

Mr. Prater is a Managing Director and the Global Co-Head of Private Infrastructure for Partners Group, a Swiss-based global private markets investment management firm with more than US$ 45 billion in assets under management in private infrastructure, private equity, private real estate and private debt, and with offices in New York, Sao Paulo and 16 other cities around the world.

Larry Schwartz, Seaborn's CEO said:

"We are very pleased to have Brandon join our board of directors. Brandon brings tremendous infrastructure investment experience across a wide variety of industries around the world."

Mr. Prater commented:

"I look forward to assisting Seaborn in the build and operational stages of the Seabras-1 project as well as in connection with other high demand subsea routes in the future."

Seaborn Networks is a developer and operator of submarine fiber optic cable systems, including Seabras-1 which is the first express submarine cable system between the US and Brazil. Seabras-1 is a 60 Tbps system that will connect New York and Sao Paulo, with a branch that lands in Fortaleza, Brazil. Activation will be in 2016. Seaborn was founded by successful submarine cable and wholesale carrier executives with experience in designing, building and operating many of the world's largest submarine and terrestrial networks.
