Infrastructure Ontario and Casey House have issued the request for proposals to build and finance the Casey House facility replacement project in Toronto.

The companies  invited to respond to this request for proposals are the following companies that were shortlisted in December 2013:

The replacement project will provide more efficient, seamless care by consolidating all programs and services under one roof. It involves renovating an existing heritage property at 571 Jarvis St. and incorporating a new 48,000-square-foot facility that will be built at 119 Isabella St. The new facility will feature:

  • 14 in-patient beds, including two respite beds
  • office space for the home care programs
  • therapy rooms and community space for day health programs
  • new space for administrative and support services, including Casey House Foundation
  • underground parking for 15 vehicles

Casey House was Canada's first stand-alone treatment facility for people with HIV/AIDS when it opened in 1988. It is a specialty HIV/AIDS care facility that also offers community programming, including home care and outreach programs.
