UK's National Infrastructure Commission looks for CEO

The National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) of UK, through the Commission's Chair Lord Adonis, is looking to appoint a CEO to lead the organisation.

The National Infrastructure Commission is a newly created body, established to deliver a long-term plan and assessment of national infrastructure needs in the UK.  

As CEO, the selected person will have the opportunity to shape the UK's Infrastructure strategy for a generation.  The CEO will lead the organisation through an interim phase and into a permanent footing following the passage of legislation. He/She will oversee reports on northern transport, public transport in London and energy infrastructure, in time for the 2016 Budget.

The selected person will lead the NIC and support the Chair to deliver robust and ambitious advice on infrastructure.  In this pivotal executive leadership role the new CEO will liaise and negotiate with regulators, industry and the most senior civil servants.

Highly articulate, analytical, commercial and credible at the most senior levels, he/she will be an outstanding leader who can navigate a range of political, national and international pressures to shape the government's priorities.
