Hermes appoints Robert Wall as Infrastructure Partner

Hermes Investment Management has announced that its infrastructure team has appointed Robert Wall as a Infrastructure Partner, reporting to Peter Hofbauer, Head of Infrastructure.

Based in London, Robert will complement the existing Partners and infrastructure team, with responsibility for originating, analyzing and executing investments as well as governance of portfolio companies. Robert will also join the infrastructure investment committee.

Robert joins Hermes from the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) where he has worked for the past nine years in both Toronto and London. As an early member of the infrastructure investment team at CPPIB, Robert participated in the rapid development of a significant global infrastructure investment business in a growing and maturing asset class. He has been responsible for executing large scale direct infrastructure investments in multiple jurisdictions and has acted as a Board Director of major infrastructure companies in Europe and Australia whilst a member of the CPPIB infrastructure team. 

Robert's early career was in civil engineering in the UK and New Zealand. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Queen's University in Canada and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
