The state of Espiritu Santo, Brazil, has selected two firms, Construtora Norberto Odebrecht S.A. and Socicam Administração, Projetos e Representações Ltda. to develop feasibility studies for the construction and operation of twenty schools in the state. Education services are not included in the object of the contract.The Request for Expressions of Interest was published on June 26 and proposals were submitted on July 30.Four other firms submitted Expressions of Interest to develop the studies but were eliminated of the process on the ground of not proving the technical capability required in the process:

• Concremat Engenharia e Tecnologia S.A.;
• Proficenter Construções Ltda.;
• TB Serviços, Transporte, Limpeza, Gerenciamento e Recursos Humanos S.A.; and
• Trail Infraestrutura Ltda..

Odebrecht and Socicam must submit the Feasibility Studies by 8 January 2014.
