TCE/SP suspends sewage concession in Sao Paulo municipality

São Paulo State Court (Brazil) has suspended the tender process for the Artur Nogueira city's water and sewage concession. More details about the reasons for the cancelation have not been disclosed.

The concession contract would have had a term of 30 years ant an estimated value of R$120.7 million (US$14.7 million).

Currently the water and sewage services are provided by the municipal authority Serviço de Água e Esgoto de Artur Nogueira (SAEAN).

Artur Nogueira, a city in the state of São Paulo, is part of the Metropolitan Region of Campinas. It has a population of approximately 50,250 inhabitants in an area of 178.03 km².
