Three teams shortlisted for Indianapolis courthouse P3 project

The city of Indianapolis has announced that three consortia has been shortlisted for a public-private partnership project that will involve the construction of the new Marion County criminal justice complex.

The three teams shortlisted are the following:

-Indy Justice Partners

 -Plenary Edgemoor Justice Partners
 -WMB Heartland Justice Partners

More specifically, the project will involve the development, design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the new Marion County criminal justice complexThe project cost is estimated at US$300 million.

The contract is scheduled to be awarded in September 2014, construction will start early 2015 and finally the new Marion County criminal justice complex will open in 2018.

The new consolidated criminal justice campus will include: 3,480 bed detention facility, 750 bed minimum security/ transitional community corrections facility, 32 courtroom courthouse, a law office building, a juvenile court and 100 bed juvenile detention center, a Sheriff's office, a Surface and structured parking facilities, and a Central facilities for maintenance, warehouse, central plant and underground connecting tunnel system.
