The Bavarian Railroad Company, Inc. (BEG) is the transport authorities for the rail transport in Bavaria . The Munich- based company was founded in 1995 and is wholly owned by the Free State of Bavaria .In Bavaria, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology was responsible for the SPNV, which then founded a wholly owned subsidiary, the BEG. After a refurbishment in 2013 it went to the Ministry of the Interior, for construction and traffic . The BEG is responsible for the planning, coordination, ordering and quality control of regional rail passenger transport.
