The Canadian Climate Fund (C2F), administered by the Inter-American Investment Corporation of the IDB Group, is a US$250 million fund that co-finances climate-friendly private sector projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. Long-term financing options that provide both high risk tolerance and low costs are limited in today’s market. To remove these obstacles, significant financial innovation is needed.Together with the IDB Group, the government of Canada established the Canadian Climate Fund for the Private Sector in the Americas (C2F). The first of its kind for Latin America.
