EPAL – Empresa Pública de Águas (EPAL-E.P.) is Angola's state-owned public water utility responsible for the abstraction, treatment, transmission, distribution, and commercialization of potable water in the Luanda metropolitan area. Established as a public enterprise with administrative, financial, and operational autonomy, EPAL operates under a public service mandate to provide a reliable and sustainable water supply while supporting the country's socio-economic development. The utility manages multiple water treatment plants, distribution centres, and extensive transmission and distribution networks across Luanda and is actively engaged in infrastructure expansion, network modernization, environmental management, and customer service improvements to enhance water access and service quality.
