IFC InfraVentures is a global infrastructure project development fund that has been created as part of World Bank Group’s efforts to increase the pipeline of bankable projects in developing countries. IFC helps develop infrastructure projects that can meaningfully improve peoples’ lives in emerging markets, with a special emphasis on fast-growing cities where there are critical needs in power and transportation. It also help create the conditions to attract increased private capital for infrastructure, and help structure public-private partnerships that can upgrade water systems, electricity networks and roads.
