In the water sector, Lantania has emerged as a globally recognized desalination contractor. Through its subsidiary Lantania Aguas, the company has more than 900,000 cubic meters per day of desalination capacity under construction and ranks among the world’s leading EPC desalination contractors. In 2026, the company strengthened its global expansion strategy through a strategic partnership with, under which NMDC acquired a majority stake in Lantania Aguas to create a stronger international platform for water and desalination projects, particularly in the Middle East and global water infrastructure markets.
