Saldehco is a privately owned South African company that was established as a special purpose vehicle to take part in a Transnet tender focusing on initiative 2 of Operation Phakisa.One of the key components of Operation Phakisa is an “ocean economy” strategy.Its project looks to operate an offshore supply base in the port , as well as providing specialist and generalist services for both the oil and gas and the marine industry.It will look to build infrastructure that will allow the base to provide services to the global economy.This will also open opportunities for small and medium scale enterprises.
