Sonae Capital was founded in 2007, surfacing as a spin-off of Sonae. It is currently comprised of a portfolio of various types of core businesses – Hospitality, Tróia Resort, Fitness, Refrigeration & HVAC and Energy, and one non core business – Real Estate Assets. The company provides tourism services, and manages hotels. It also manages and operates various cogeneration and solar plants with an installed capacity of 63 megawatts. In addition, it undertakes engineering projects, provides commercial refrigeration solutions, designs, coordinates, and installs air conditioning, ventilation, and related electrical facilities.
