The Yayasan Pendidikan Johor (YPJ) was established through the enforcement of the Johor Education Foundation Enactment 1982 (No. 8, 1982) under the management of the Johor State Secretary. Its establishment is aimed at managing the scholarship fund and education loans to assist the Johor State children to pursue their studies at institutions of higher learning within and outside the country. In 1986, YPJ commenced its separate administration under the control of the Board chaired by YAB Menteri Besar of Johor.
