The Belo Horizonte Science Park (BH-TEC), Brazil, has re-launched the tender process to develop a new building associated to the park through a PPP model.
In March 2013 we reported that the tender process for the project was launched, but no companies submitted proposals to develop the building complex. Now, the project has been reviewed and the tender process has been relaunched.
The concession contract is for a period of thirty years. The contract includes the implementation, maintenance and operation of the new BH-TEC building complex, which will have a total area of approximately 207,000 m².
The total project investment is estimated at R$610 million (US$156.7 million).
The winning bidder will be the company offering the maximum annual payment to the park. The minimum amount to be offered each year is R$1.8 million (US$462,509).
Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before 13 November 2015.
The BH-TEC is located next to the campus of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG).
