Bids invited for road corridor improvement project in Guinea Bissau

Guinea-Bissau's General Directorate of Transport Infrastructure has invited bids for the first phase of the Bissau-Dakar road corridor improvement project covering the Farim-Tanaff-Sandinieri route.

The scope of works includes the development and asphalting Works of the first 7 km of the Farim-Dungal-Senegal Border road, including 4 km of paved roads with sanitation, public lighting in the town of Farim, 24 km of tracks, and, construction works of a weighing/toll station, and environmental protection works, embankments, and exits from structures in a single lot. 

The Guinea Bissau government has obtained grants from the African Development Fund (ADF) and intends to use part of these donations to make payments under the contract for development and asphalting works including the Farim roads, tracks and construction of a control station weighing/toll.
