Ministry of Public Works in Chile has received seven bids from private companies and consortiums for its Ruta 78 Santiago-San Antonio Highway Concession. This will be the second concession of Ruta 78, which involves modernization and expansion of 132.8 km long highway. The project involves an investment of USD892 million that will improve the standard of the highway that connects Santiago with San Antonio.

The bids were submitted by following bidders :

1. Sacyr Concesiones Chile SpA
2. Consorcio Ruta del Sol
3. Aleatica SA
4. Consorcio Cintra -Intervial
5. Acciona Concesiones Ruta 78
6. Grupo Costanera SpA
7. Consorcio CRCC

The authority will open the economic offers on November 26, 2021. The winner of the concession is scheduled to be announced during the first quarter of 2022.
