The Airports Directorate of Chile's Ministry of Public Works (MOP) has launched a prequalification process for domestic and international consulting firms to prepare the Reference Preliminary Project for the future expansion and modernization of Arturo Merino Benítez Airport (AMB).
The initiative establishes a Special Register of Prequalified Consultants, marking the first phase of the procurement process. The shortlisted firms will later be eligible to compete for the consultancy contract to develop the reference preliminary design that will underpin the airport's third concession. The study will define the main works and investments that the airport terminal will require to respond to the expected growth in passenger traffic and strengthen its operational capacity in the long term.
