The city of Racibórz, Poland, has awarded the contract to develop the city's mechanical & biological waste treatment plant through a public private partnership (PPP) project to EMPOL.
The project was signed on 30 October 2014.
The new integrated municipal waste processing center will be developed on a design, build, finance and operate basis. The contract period is 20 years.
The total project investment is estimated at PLN15 million (US$4.7 million).
Racibórz is a city in southern Poland with up to 60,000 inhabitants situated in the Silesian Voivodeship. It is the capital of Racibórz County.
