Colombia studies two unsolicited proposals

Colombia's National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) is studying two unsolicited proposals for potential road projects to be developed with private financing, APP Llanos and the Ibagué - Cajamarca highway.

The Treasury Ministry is already analyzing both projects after the ANI sent the necessary information extracted from the unsolicited proposals.

The unsolicited proposal for the APP llanos was submitted by Grupo Odinsa S.A. The proposed road PPP project involves the maintenance of 350 km of roads, the development of a ring road around Villavicencio and the construction of a two-lane road between Ciudad Porfía and Acacias and between Río Ocoa and Apiay. The project also involves the upgrade of the road between Puerto Gaitán and Puente Arimena.

The total project investment is estimated at P$1.2 billion (US$580 million).

In early June 2014 ANI approved the unsolicited proposal for the project.

The unsolicited proposal for the Ibagué - Cajamarca highway has been submitted by Colpatria, Mincivil and their partners in the San Rafael concessionaire (Termotécnica Coindustrial, Latinco and HB Estructuras Metálicas). The mentioned concessionaire currently manages the Ibagué - Girardot highway.

ANI recently approved the proposal and sent the information to the Treasury Ministry.

The project involves the development of a second 35 km highway between Ibagué and Cajamarca. The total project investment is estimated at P$1.3 billion (US$628.6 million).
