A total of 12 teams have submited expression of interest (EOIs) to carry out  feasibility studies for the construction of schools in Minas Gerais through the PPP model.

The entities that have already registered for the EOI are the following:

12. Socicam Administração, Projetos e Representações Ltda..

The selected team will have to develop studies, surveys and proposals for implementing a concession model for the design, build, maintenance and operation of 55 school units of public schools in the state.

The project implementation would include all the necessary furniture and other equipment, as well as the provision of non-educational support. 

Feasibility studies must be submitted by the end of May.

Minas Gerais is following other Brazilian states as the state of Pará, which in March 2015, hired advisors to launch a tender process for the development of schools through the PPP model. This project involves the construction, operation and maintenance of 50 schools.
