The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) awarded the contract to an international consulting firm to structure the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract for the new Hipólito Unanue National Hospital project.
This award is a key step toward modernizing the healthcare system and was carried out between April and July of this year. An open, competitive, and transparent public tender was held, with the participation of 14 international consulting firms from countries such as Spain, Mexico, Portugal, Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, and Peru. The firm Currie & Brown México Sucursal Perú (Peru Branch) was ultimately selected as the winner.
The new hospital will feature a modern design and construction that meets health regulations and international standards, including seismic isolators and LEED certification. In addition, the future concessionaire will assume maintenance of the infrastructure and equipment, including its replacement and technological upgrades, as well as the provision of general services for 16 years, ensuring continuous and efficient operation for the benefit of its users.
