China Construction Second Engineering Bureau (CSCEC 2nd Bureau) has signed a public private partnership (PPP) contract to develop the Information Technology City of Shenzhen - Shantou Special Cooperation Zone.

This is the first PPP project in Shenzhen and Shantou areas. Located in E'bu Area of Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone, the project covers 8 urban roads across the whole E'bu Area with the overall length of 25 km.

Implemented in PPP and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode, the project is to be invested, constructed and operated by CSCEC 2nd Bureau with the construction period of 3 years and operational period of 7 years.

The total project investment is estimated at  RMB1.8 billion (US$283.6 million).

The Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone is the first Special Cooperation Zone in China which, once completed, it is expected that it will help improve municipal facilities in the area and promote regional development.
