China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd (CSCEC) has won two transport public private partnership (PPP) projects in China.
The company has recently announced that it has won the Taizhou Bay Bridge PPP project and the Zhuzhou Tiedong Road PPP Project.
With the total length of the bridge and connecting lines exceeding 32km, Taizhou Bay Bridge is an important part of Zhejiang Coastal Highway, also known as Double Line of Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Highway. The total contract value is estimated at CNY4.5 billion (US$702 million). Taizhou is located 300 km south ofShanghai and 230 km southeast of Hangzhou, the provincial capital.
Being the first PPP trial project in Zhejiang Province, it is also a key project of Ministry of Transport and Zhejiang Province. It is also the first large-scale infrastructure project undertaken by CSCEC in Zhejiang Province.
With the total length of 1.6 km and standard width of 40 m, Zhuzhou Tiedong Road is designed to be bi-directional six-lane trunk road. The total contract value is estimated at CNY590 billion (US$92 million).
CSCEC is a Chinese construction company ranked the 3rd largest in the world (1st according to International Construction) and the 20th largest general contractor in terms of overseas sales.
