Egypt launches RFQ for government building PPP project

The government of Egypt has launched a request for qualification (RFQ) for a real estate public private partnership (PPP) project.

The project will involve the finance, design, construct, furnish, operate and maintain government administrative buildings.

According to the RFQ the building will be used or rented to tenants working in the field of ICT specifically Outsourcing ans Innovation on specific land lots located in Maadi Technology Park under a usufruct basis for a certain period. After the contract period, the facilities will be transfered to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).

The PPP contract will be set under the law no.67 for the year 2010.

Interested parties must submit their qualification documents on or before 29 April 2015. 

In early February we reported that two consortia bid for the Abu Rawash wastewater treatment plant PPP project in Egypt. The project consists of the design, financing, raising capacity of existing primary treatment plant from 1.2 million m3/d to 1.6 million m3/d. The total project investment is estimated at EGP5 billion.
