A total of five companies have submitted proposals for the Cabreúva urban cleaning and solid waste concession contract in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The bidders are the following: Corpus Saneamento e Obras, Eppo Saneamento Ambiental e Obras, Locar Saneamento Ambiental, Litucera Limpeza e Engenharia, and Monte Azul Engenharia Ltda.
The concession includes: collecting municipal solid waste, urban cleaning, operation and maintenance of ecopoints, and treatment and disposal of waste. Additionally, the preferred bidder will be responsible for the upgrade and expansion of the municipality's landfill.
The 30-year concession contract has a value of approximately R$324 million (US$82.9 million).
Technical proposals have already been opened and financial proposals are scheduled to be opened on 29 October 2015.
Cabreúva has a population of 41,000 inhabitants and its current net revenue is approximately R$142 million (US$40 million). It has an area of 261 km², of which 96 km² are urban and 165 km² are rural.
