Four consortia bid for Pasto - Rumichaca highway

The Colombian National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has received bids from four consortia for the Rumichaca - Pasto highway PPP project.

The four consortia that have submitted qualification documents are the following:

  • OHL Concesiones: OHL Concesiones Chile (40%) and OHL Concesiones Colombia (60%).
  • Strabag Concay: Strabag SAS (50%) and Concay SA (50%).
  • SAC 4G: Sacyr Concesiones Colombia SAS (60%) and Erdoisa Crespo Construcciones Colombia SAS (40%).
  • Infraestructura Vial para Colombia: Controladora de Operaciones de Infraestructura S.A. DCV (35%), Alca Ingeniería S.A.S. (5%), Latinoamericana de Construcciones S.A. (10%), Estyma Estudios y Manejo SA (10%), Cass Constructores y CIA SCA (20%) and Carlos Alberto Solarte Solarte (20%).

The project involves the development of a new 80 km highway and the upgrade of the road between Rumichaca and Pasto. The project includes the development of 7 tunnels and about 30 bridges, among others.

The total project investment is estimated at P1,600 billion (US$557.5 million).

The project is part of the second wave of 4G highway projects, which includes 10 concessions. 4G involves the construction of 8,000 km of roads, including 1,200 km of four-lane highways, with the majority of projects to be carried out as PPPs.
