Hochtief PPP Solutions GmbH has been selected as the preferred bidder to develop the Aachen police station PPP project in Germany.
The project involves the development of a new police headquarter in Aachen. The preferred bidder will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the new facilities for a period of 20 years.
The new police station, with a gross floor area of approximately 30,000 m², will have capacity for a total of 1200 employees. The project will also include the development of, among others, parking spaces, waste management facilities, dog kennels and bicycles stands.
Aachen is a German spa and border town located between the Eifel, South Limburg (Netherlands) and High Fens (Belgium) regions in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is located within a former coal-mining region, and this fact was important in its economic history.
Hochtief PPP Solutions GmbH engages in the design/planning, financing, construction, refurbishment, and operation of transport and social infrastructure, renewable energy, and other PPP projects worldwide. Last month we reported that Spanish developer ACS Group announced the acquisition of an additional stake in Hochtief for a total consideration of €312 million (US$357 million).
