Inframed has appointed Jean-Philippe Aubertel as Director, Joseph Bahout as Geopolitical Advisor and Laurent Grimaldi as Senior Advisor.

Jean-Philippe Aubertel will be a Director at InfraMed Management. His previous position was Director of the French Agency for Development's (AFD) Group Risk Management. His responsibility covered 350+ clients including 100+ in infrastructure (utilities, transport, telecommunications, mining, hospitals) and 60+ in MENA. Of the €28bn portfolio under his supervision, €5bn concerned infrastructure and €6m were in MENA.

Jean-Philippe holds a double Masters degree in engineering from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale des Techniques Avancées, and a MBA from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. Jean-Philippe also studied at the Institute of Higher National Defence Studies.

Professor Joseph Bahout is a Visiting Scholar at Carnegie Endowment in Washington DC, affiliated to the Middle-East Programme. Besides, he is currently Associate Fellow at the Geneva Center for Security Policy and member of the Scientific Board of Institut français du Proche-Orient. He also has activities as consultant for several European and Arab institutions and frequent contributions to European and Arab medias on the Middle-East. In 2005, Joseph Bahout became Professor of Middle-Eastern Studies at Sciences Po Paris, and a Senior Fellow at Academie diplomatique internationale. From 2009 to 2014, he also served as a Permanent Consultant for the Policy Planning Unit at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Professor Bahout earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from the American University of Beirut before studying International Relations at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris, and then achieving a PhD in Political Science at the same institution.

Laurent Grimaldi is CEO and founder of C-Consulting, which advises on corporate strategy, M&A and fundraising. He is a successful serial entrepreneur who sits on the board of numerous start-up companies. Laurent is the Venture Partner of Breega Capital, the first European venture capital fund (EuVECA) in France. In 2009 Laurent formed and lead the Open 3G consortium aimed at bidding for the 4th mobile licence in France.

Laurent holds a degree in engineering from Telecom Paris, a Master's degree and the Agrégation diploma in Mathematics, and a Master's degree in mechanics. He is fluent in French, Italian, English and Spanish.
