Kansas University launches tender for campus P3

Kansas University (KU), USA, has launched a request for qualifications (RFQ) for the development of the Central District public private partnership (PPP) project.

The project involves the planning, design, construction (including financing), and potentially the operations and maintenance of Central District Facilities.

The project consists of 260,000 +/- gross square feet (GSF) of academic science facilities, 105,000 +/- GSF of student union space, two housing facilities with a total of 1,200 +/- student beds, a power plant, as well as additional parking and infrastructure to support the new facilities.

Interested parties must submit their qualifications documents on or before 30 December 2014.

The University of Kansas is a public research university and the largest and oldest public university in the U.S. state of Kansas. Its campuses are located inLawrence, Wichita, Overland Park, Salina, and Kansas City, Kansas. The University was opened in 1866.

The University System of Georgia has recently selected Corvias Campus Living (Corvias Group) to develop, construct, manage and maintain student housing through a P3 deal.
