Kuwait releases RFQ for Labor City PPP project

In accordance with Law No. 40 for 2010, regarding the establishment of one or more Kuwaiti  shareholding companies to develop the labor cities project, the Partnership Technical Bureau, in  collaboration with Kuwait Municipality, invites all:
"foreign and local companies, consortia and investors not listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange"
to submit their Request for Qualifications Responses for the Labor City (south Al-Jahra city) PPP  Project.
The Project covers the design, build, maintenance and facility management of a labor city with an area of 1,015,000 sqm that is expected to accommodate 20,000 workers. The project is located in  south Al-Jahra along the sixth ring road and will include the following components (labor housing  - governmental services - infrastructure- commercial services- landscape and open play grounds).
The investor will enter into a contractual agreement with the Kuwait Municipality for an investment term of 40 years, in return for a yearly rental fee for the land, to be paid by the investor.
Interested parties should provide a certified check issued by a local bank with a value of two  thousand KD in order to purchase the request for qualification document from the Partnership  Technical Bureau. Documents can be purchased starting Sunday the 18 th of Dec. 2011.
