In March 2014, the state of Distrito Federal received five expressions of interest for a PPP contract to improve wastewater services in the Entorno do Distrito Federal microregion. The area covered by the PPP contract includes ten municipalities: Águas Lindas de Goiás, Alexânia, Cidade Ocidental, Cristalina, Formosa, Luziânia, Novo Gama, Planaltina, Santo Antônio do Descoberto and Valparaíso de Goiás.

Additionally, three companies submitted proposals for a sewage public private partnership project  in the municipality of Guarulhos, in the state of São Paulo. The object of the PPP contract is the provision of public transport, treatment and disposal of sewage from the municipality urban area. The contract will involve capital investments, operation and maintenance of the sewage system.
