Oman launches RFQ for water desalination PPP project

The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC (OPWP) has launched a request for qualification (RFQ) to develop a desalination PPP project.

OPWP, a member of Nama Group, is responsible for procuring new capacity for power and water and for purchasing and selling the output in the Sultanate of Oman.

OPWP is planning the addition of a new water desalination capacity of approximately 240,000m³/day (52.6 MIGD), which will be located across three sites.

The RFQ is formally available for purchase from the offices of OPWP until 21 December 2015. Interested parties must submit their qualification documents on of before 17 January 2016.
