Ottawa seeks interest for library project

The City of Ottawa, Canada, has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) to develop a Central Library through a PPP project.

The REOI stage will be followed by a request for qualifications (RFQ) and a request for proposals (RFP). The anticipated timeframe for the entire process to select a site, delivery method and commence construction is 32 months.

The preferred bidder will be responsible for the development of a new 12,263 square metres (132,000 square feet) Central Library.

The Ottawa Central Library is envisioned as an innovative and iconic facility. It is expected that a new facility will be a significant landmark civic building in Ottawa to serve Ottawa's growing downtown population and to provide a city-wide service to workers and residents expected to travel downtown every day using the new Confederation Light Rail Line.

All requests for commercially confidential meetings are to be made to the administrative authority on or before Friday, 30 October 2015. Interested parties must submit their EOIs on or before 17 November 2015.
