Oxford capital targets 100m for its Oxford capital infrastructure III fund

UK investment firm Oxford Capital is targeting £100m for its Oxford Capital Infrastructure III fund through which it will invest in solar generation assets and is looking for a first close before the end of the year. The fund is targeting index-linked yields of 7-9%.

Oxford Capital Infrastructure III is acquiring a portfolio of commercial scale  roof and ground mounted Solar PV assets in the UK. All investments are expected to be concluded by March 31st 2014. The firm will leverage a number of exclusive and privileged partnerships with high quality partners who develop and operate renewable energy assets.

These assets will benefit from long term government-backed index-linked yields under the Feed in Tariff (FiT) and Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) schemes. Both schemes were created to incentivize the installation of renewable energy sources.

The fund will be open to investment until March 2014 subject to capacity constraints. The minimum investment is £5m.

Oxford Capital already has around £50m of solar generation assets under management in its first two infrastructure funds.Source: Oxford Capital
