Panama launches tender for port concession

Panama's Maritime Authority has launched a call for tenders for a port concession in the district of Aguadulce, Province of Cocle.

Located in the Pacific Ocean side of the country, the project involves the design, build, operation and maintenance of a multipurpose terminal for container cargo, fuel grain and other goods storage. The concession will be for a period of 20 years.

The total project investment is estimated at US$53.5 million.

The project is expected to be operational after 3-year construction period.  Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before 22 October 2015.

Aguadulce, an agricultural city, is the capital of Aguadulce District. Is located on the Pan-American Highway, near but not on the coast on the Bahia de Parita.
